Susan Meiselas

Susan Meiselas (United States, 1948) studied visual education at Harvard and became a member of Magnum in 1980. She has published in Time, The New York Times, Lifeand Paris Match. She received the Robert Capa Gold Medal for her work in Nicaragua. Later she won the Leica Award for Excellence and the Hasselblad Prize. Recently she completed a multi-year project on the visual history of Kurdistan. Meiselas holds an endowed chair as professor in the Masters in Photographic Studies at the University of Leiden.
