La Virgen de Caracas is about the core of everyday violence, not just politics, but also the silent violence of malnutrition, lack of medicine, everyday powerlessness. In La sacerdotisa llorando sangre, the virgin priestess feeds blood, it represents the government that uses its rich natural resources not for the people, but for its own gain.
