The Achurch

The pièce de résistance of the festival can be found in the choir of the church: 'LAWKI–NOW' by the collective ARK. This multimedia installation constructs countless online videos and audio compositions through a network of unsupervised algorithms. In this way, the installation always broadcasts a completely new audiovisual story. Alongside, the church is occupied by a wide spectrum of works on the intersection of technology, people and nature. In one aisle we see how technologies are used to tell new and sometimes futuristic stories. Works on the other side of the church explore our relationship with the natural world. Here technology plays more of a mediating or revelatory role. VR, algorithms, image processing techniques, sculptures and false mirrors combine to explore the boundless relationship between people and technology.
