Museum Heerenveen

The Noorderlicht International Photo Festival 2021 can be seen this year in Museum Heerenveen. With the theme 'The Makeable Mind' visitors discover the relationship between visual culture and reality: what is the influence of image technologies, communication media and (citizen) journalism on our thinking and how do they conceal, reveal, describe, or rewrite reality? During the Noorderlicht Festival photographic work by Natalia Kepesz (DE), Elisa Maenhout (BE) and Silas Bahr (PL) can be seen here. They tell stories in which the protagonists turn their own lives into fiction.
