Hester Scheurwater’s anti-images are every now and then populating the streets and lampposts of Groningen this summer. Fly-posted and taken away by the public to be spread through the city, her work is an intervention, a visual commentary on the portrayal of women as sex objects, as in mainstream, commercialised visual culture.
