Artphy in Westerwolde and Noorderlicht present 'After Nature'. This exhibition investigates how the distinction between nature and technology and between mankind and its natural environment has become increasingly blurred in our times. The artists use technology to create new nature or use it as a lens to look at the landscape. 'After Nature' re-examines the natural world and tackles the issues of the Anthropocene, the epoch we live in, where the impact of humans on earth has become irreversible. What will supersede the notion of innocent and romantic nature, and what new nature will take its place?
