About Nadav Kander
Nadav Kander (Israel, 1961) grew up in South Africa an since the mid-1980s has lived in London. When thirteen, he purchased a Pentax camera with the money from his bar mitzvah. Kander later worked for the photographic service of the South African air force. He became internationally famous for his portraits and landscapes, which manifest a mute discomfort. Among his publications are the photo books Beauty’s Nothing(2001), Night(2003) and Obama’s People(2009).
