Jackie Nickerson

In her work Jackie Nickerson (United States, 1960) places emphasis on people and their milieu. She won the AIB prize and was shortlisted for the John Kobel Award. Her photo book Farm appeared in 2002 and won the Photo-Eye Best Book Award. Her book Faith, about Catholicism in Ireland,appeared in 2008. She has published worldwide in newspapers such as The New York Times and La Repubblica, and her work is included in the collections of prominent museums. She was also a contributor to the Noorderlicht festival Act of Faith. She splits her time between bases in New York and Ireland.
