Ed Kashi

Ed Kashi (United States, b. 1957) is a photojournalist, filmmaker and educator, who devotes himself to documenting the world’s contemporary social and political questions. His work has been published and exhibited world wide, and he is famed for his moving depiction of the human condition.

Ed Kashi has won various prizes for his photojournalism, including awards from Pictures of the Year International, World Press Photo Foundation, Communication Arts and American Photography. Noorderlicht has previously shown Kashi’s work, in the photo festivals Nazar (2004), Another Asia (2006) and Act of Faith (2007).
