Dmytro Kozatskyi

Dmytro Kozatskyi (1995, Malyn, Ukraine) is a serviceman, press officer of the “Azov” regiment. Joined the ranks of the Ukrainian army immediately after the Revolution of Dignity in 2014. Participant in the defense of Mariupol from the first days of the fullscale Russian invasion of Ukraine. In May, his photos of military and civilians from the Azovstal plant went viral all over the world. Dmytro is not a professional photographer, this is his hobby since his youth. From May 20, 2022 Dmytro is in Russian captivity with other defenders of Mariupol.
