BullBear Dynamics

In BullBear Dynamics, a figure inspired by Janus climbs a ladder that transforms: first into a DNA helix, then into a line graph like a stock chart. The forward-looking face bears a bull’s head, the backward-looking one a bear’s; expansion and restraint united in a single body. Climbing and descending become indistinguishable, undermining the assumption that progress always moves upward. With this work, Bray asks why success is almost always told as a rise, but rarely as successful degrowth.
