Wasserturm()
Using a coded script, Philipp Klak generates endless variations of anonymous water towers through automated procedural modeling.
Wasserturm() functions as an algorithm that reinterprets the exploratory works of Bernd and Hilla Becher from the 1960s. The water towers are rendered CGI models, and since the underlying process is driven by random numerical inputs, each image emerges as a unique variation in an infinite stream. While this project may seem similar to AI generated works, it is a predecessor, that is ultimately created and controlled by the artist.
