THE EVERYDAY (2009)
Somewhere in an urban residential area, a bomb goes off. Bystanders startle, bend over… but it is clear that the situation has been staged. Still, we must realize that this is a daily situation, say the Sanchez brothers. By placing the explosion in an unnamed, but clearly Western context – and not in a traditional conflict zone – they force us to think about the impact of the destruction, regardless of the cause.
