From factory workers to the highest government officials, in Thailand everyone visits the Mor Doos, or literally the ‘future doctors’. As a result, these diviners have an indirect influence on government policy, which has led to various scandals. In making their predictions they chiefly draw on symbols and elements from Buddhism.
