Wonderland

Wonderland’, the main exhibition of the Noorderlicht 1999 Photo Festival, is presented in the Der Aa-Kerk in the heart of Groningen. It is an exhibition in the best Northern Lights tradition, with photography that moves more than ever on the ‘border of the documentary’.

 

‘Wonderland’ takes the viewer on a journey under the skin to an imaginary space, where nothing is what it seems. About thirty photographers, from all over the world, together create an intimate and poetic world that simultaneously evokes alienation and recognition. ‘Wonderland’ is Northern Lights in its most unadulterated form.
