Grrls in Portrait

In this exhibition Photographer Suzan van de Roemer and writer / television presenter Sanderijn Cels paint an optimistic and powerful picture of a group of young, selfconscious women. The photographs are individual portraits of ‘Grrls’ between 19 and 29 years of age, that are convinced of their own abilities and for whom chances in society are a natural given. Quotations about their ambitions, vision and strength accompany the images, making the whole a positive image of women’s liberation in the nineties.
