Assimilation (2010)
In the vast landscape of the southern Kalahari, weaver birds pretend to own the poles that carry telephone lines through their habitat.

The weaver birds’ nests, which live in colonies of up to 100,000 individuals, turn the stilts into apartment blocks full of life. The process of building the nests, made of twigs and grass collected in the environment, inevitably leads to the craziest shapes. As a result, the normally anonymous and soulless telephone poles become absurd but recognizable personalities.
