Diederik van der Donk - A Day at the Park

In this exhibition, Diederik van der Donk undermines the image most people have when hearing the phrase ‘A day at the park’: the careless playing, the bourgeois entertainment. The photos evoke a feeling of unease and threat, without explicitly showing what is so threatening exactly. The photographer achieves this by using simple images with a narrative structure in which, by leaving as much as possible to coincidence and intuition, he makes use of the suggestive power that photography can possess.

The exhibition will open at Friday May 30th at 20h00, followed by a photocafe at 20h30.
