AMprojects - All Colours Will Agree in the Dark
The Noorderlicht Photogallery presents the first gallery exhibition by the cutting edge collective AMprojects, a group of emerging photographers living and working in six different countries. The artists work together while simultaneously exploring parallel and divergent themes. Their vision is drawn from a mix of radically different artistic styles and contrasting cultural experiences but with a shared passion for the sensory in photography.
The launch of the collective was celebrated last fall, supported by the newly formed contemporary art gallery East Wing, based in Doha & Dubai.
Curated collectively by AMprojects, All Colours Will Agree in the Dark reveals the group’s vibrant, sometimes chaotic artistic process and the resulting discoveries of serendipitous harmonies that emerge. The title, originally a quote by the philosopher Francis Bacon, relates to the way the artists explore vastly different working methods, materials and experimentations and how together they translate these methods into exciting new ways of seeing.
The exhibition came to be in cooperation with East Wing.
