Parallel exhibition '(Un)earth' in Amsterdam
Under the title 'Renewed energy, a province in transition', BPD Cultuurfonds and Noorderlicht started a multi-year cultural collaboration in 2021, in which artists, among others, are asked to respond directly or indirectly to the consequences of natural gas extraction in Groningen, in relation to architecture, people, nature and landscape.
The first in the series of exhibitions and projects is ‘(Un)earth’ by Awoiska van der Molen and Bart Lunenburg, which can be seen until 3 October in the old Camera Cinema in Groningen as part of the Noorderlicht International Photo Festival 2021.
In the coming months there is a parallel exhibition on show in the Burgerweeshuis in Amsterdam, the head office of BPD Area Development. The exhibition and the beautiful building – designed by Aldo van Eyck – can be visited every last Saturday of the month. Click here for more information (in Dutch) and here to buy a ticket.
