Tim Hetherington

Tim Hetherington (Great Britain), 1970 – 2011) is a photographer and filmmaker, specialising in long-term narrative documentary projects. He spent eight years in West Africa, resulting in the book Liberia: Long Story Bit by Bit(2009). He won the 2007 World Press Photo award for a photograph he made in Afghanistan. Hetherington’s work has appeared in The New Yorker, Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, Der Spiegeland other journals. He lives in New York and is connected with the periodical Vanity Fair.
