Osamu James Nakagawa

Osamu James Nakagawa (United States, 1962) was born in New York, grew up in Tokyo, and ended up in Houston when he was fifteen. There he took his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The International Museum of Photography and the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts, among others. Presently Nakagawa teaches photography at the University of Indiana. He received a Guggenheim Fellowship for his Okinawa project in 2009.
