In recent years the work of photographer Nadine Stijns (1977) has been exhibited at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Kunsthal Rotterdam, Empty Quarter Gallery in Dubai, Format Photography Festival in Derby, and Contact Photo Festival Toronto (Canada). Her work has featured in magazines and newspapers such as British Journal of Photography The Ones to Watch issue, Works that Work magazine, Metropolis M, Die Zeit and de Volkskrant.
Researcher and curator Amal Alhaag (1983) founded with artist Maria Guggenbichler the Side Room, an engaged platform for discourse and culture. She is artistic director of the urban art platform Metro54 and curator at the Research Center for Material Culture at the Museum of World Cultures. Her research project ‘Technologies of Certain Bodies’ was part of the Dutch pavilion at the 16th Venice Biennale. She is associate curator of Sonsbeek 2020.
