Martin Specht

Martin Specht (b. 1964) began his career as a photojournalist during the disintegration of the Communist Warsaw Pact in 1989. In 1991 he made his first trip to Iraq, followed by trips to the Balkans and Africa, where Specht’s subjects included civil wars. In 2007 and 2008 Specht once again went to the Middle East to photograph the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
