Marc Garanger

As an army photographer Marc Garanger (1935 – 2020) produced portraits of about 2000 Algerian women. He later worked as a freelance photographer in all the republics of the Soviet Union, among other places, and made documentaries. In 1966 he received the Prix Niepce, one of the most important photography awards in France.
