About Jérôme Sessini
Jérôme Sessini (France, 1968) began his career as a photographer with the Gamma photo agency, from whom he covered the war in Kosovo. Since that time he has photographed various International events, including the second Intifada, the war in Iraq and the take-over in Mogadishu, Somalia, by the Union of Islamic Courts. In his work Sessini places a strong emphasis on the confrontation of human circumstances and the political and economic consequences of globalisation.
