About Eduardo Masferré

Eduardo Masferré (1909 – 1995) became interested in photography in his early years. He was a self-taught photographer, who made important documentary reports about the lifestyle of native people in the region of the Cordillera in the Philippines at the middle of 20th century. His subjects included ceremonies, rituals, and everyday life. He is regarded as the Father of Philippine photography.
