Consuelo Oppizzi

I’m Photographer and Visual artist. I live and work in Buenos Aires. Over the last decade, I developed a consistent body of work, like Still Photographer, in the film and television industry, working with major production companies, including Disney, HBO, Netflix and Star+. Over the past three years, I investigated sex workers’ rights in Vietnam with SAIGON, JAPAN and, through WIPHALA, the link between the Andean Cosmovision and sustainability. I currently use photography to explore different printing techniques, such as cyanotype, in various media. and apply movement with digital tools allowing me to explore a variety of languages from a photographic image. In 2022 I began to investigate the role of women in Argentine beekeeping. The project proposes to make visible the work of women with bees, their contribution in the preservation and adaptation to the climate crisis, in the face of the gender imbalances they faced historically.
