About Chloé Milos Azzopardi
Artist Chloé Milos Azzopardi (France, 1994) lives on an island on the outskirts of Paris. Ecology and providing an image of a potentially different future are central to her research- based, long-term photography projects. Her fictional worlds are subtle, strange and sensual. ‘Écosystèmes’ forms the final part of her series ‘Les formes qu’ils habitent en temps de crise’. It stemmed from a mental health issue she suffered at the age of 16, a feeling of depersonalisation blurring the relationship between herself and her body, and conversely, the boundaries between her ‘self’ and the outside world. Looking nature in the eye restored her sense of self.
