Ashley Gilbertson

Ashley Gilbertson (Australia, 1978) made a name for himself with his penetrating photos of the war in Iraq. His work was included in the Pictures of the Year in TIME, and he received the Robert Capa Gold Medal Award for his photo report The Battle for Fallujah. His Iraq photos were collected in the book Whisky Tango Foxtrot. Presently he is working on two series that examine the aftermath of the war: Bedrooms of the Fallen and The Consequences of War: P.T.S.D & Suicide. Gilbertson is connected with the photo agency VII.
