Antonio Zambardino
About Antonio Zambardino
Antonio Zambardino (Italy, 1981) was a social worker in the Middle East, and did his first major photo story in 2006, about citizens of Nagorno-Karabach who had fled to Azerbaijan. After having worked for two years as an assistant in an important photo lab in Rome, in 2008 he threw himself into his own work full-time. Thanks to a series on the garbage crisis in Campania, he won Fnac Prize that year. He was also honoured during the recent New York Photo Festival.
