About Alice Brygo
Alice Brygo’s work bears witness to a generational trouble in the context of a fragile era. Invested by in-between characters, her movies explore the imaginary of the end of the world and the intimate and political link that individuals have with the urban spaces they invest.
At the intersection between raw realism and surrealist fiction, the artist uses this trouble as material for crepuscular and dream-like tales. She reconstitutes and displaces real-life situations involving the encounter between characters from different communities to explore the way beliefs and imaginations are constructed. She looks for breaches, troubled areas where isolated worlds meet, where certainties crumble and power relations are revealed.
