In his work, Ali Eslami (1991, Iran) finds new pathways in the emerging medium of VR. In 2016 he won the IDFA DocLab Award with DeathTolls Experience and in 2020 he received a Golden Calf for Best Interactive during the Netherlands Film Festival for his project ‘Nerd_Funk’. Klasien van de Zandschulp (1980, Netherlands) designs interactive, sensory digital experiences, exploring rituals, augmented reality, human interaction and (radical) thoughts around our daily consumption of technology. Van de Zandschulp won the 2018 IDFA DocLab Immersive Non-Fiction award with ‘Eat Tech Kitchen’.
