Susanne Khalil Yusef her work deals about the Palestinian diaspora and is a personal story mixed with geo political developments.
Her Palestinian background is present all over with loving attention. Photos, memories, messages etc. she uses in her work to show the displacement and how these conditions determine her life and how it is experienced.
Private correspondence for instance is magnified in a knitted collage spread out over several pink beds that keep the memory of a travelling past vivid. Or a tufted carpet with a combat airplane as image refers to both the domestic as well as war.

Valerie van Zuilen is interested in the possibility to be in different locations and times and as well in different time zones; past, present, future. Linear time doesn’t exist in that way; old-fashioned reality of history vanishes, there is an overflow of data.
In her video AIREAL she shows a labyrinth of life by all these times and places and you start to wonder what’s mine? What is a collective? Is it a dream of mine? A part of a whole or of a gigantic collective dream? Of which the universe is the projection. It is constructed out of recorded memories.

Asya Sukhorukova indicates with ‘Engineers of the soul’the manipulative character of tv broadcasts during the presidential elections in Russia 2018. An exploration of the news reports of television prior to the elections. Knows to present an insight of how the state uses propaganda behind apparent objective tales. It reminds of the methods in the USSR. Short pieces of footage become together a worldly but utopian scripted version of reality that favours the state. The title refers to the way Stalin used the art of social realists; their art was typical for the way visual propaganda was spread in the USSR.
