Model Collapse
In Model Collapse, Telemagic invites visitors into an interactive installation where the extractive impact of artificial intelligence becomes tangible.

An AI language guide leads participants through a shifting 3D landscape, making the destructive effects of data centers, energy consumption, and resource extraction palpable. The installation centers around a station and physical cyber-sculptures that react to light and interaction. Typing a simple query not only transforms the digital world but also the physical environment, making the deep interconnection between human action and technological systems perceptible. Model Collapse highlights the extraction of natural resources and the hidden ecological costs of technology. By encouraging playful and disruptive engagement, the work invites visitors to critically explore AI’s influence on society and the environment.
