DREAMS: An Exploration of Memory, Emotion, and Subconscious Imagery

Event
22 Apr - 25 Apr 2025

From April 22th to April 25th the Noorderlicht exhibition space will be taken over by six Minerva students.

Date
22 April — 25 April 2025

They have created and designed their own exhibition called ‘DREAMS’ in which they will explore the intersection of memory, emotion and subconscious imagery.

Through six individual approaches, they navigate the fluid and fragmented nature of dreams and how they distort reality, resurface forgotten moments, and blur the line between the real and the imagined.

Each artist offers a unique perspective, shaping a collective experience that invites the audience to step into the depths of the dream world and explore how we perceive it.

Eva Brogan Ryan translates dreams and their emotional and psychological depths into tangible visual forms. Aljoša Potokar explores dreams to reflect on memory, longing, and the search for home. Yaga Piątek explores fear and the subconscious through mixed media, inspired by Japanese horror and dreamlike distortion. Mariia Kravchenko uses digital techniques to evoke the atmosphere of dreaming and derealisation, capturing the fragile, shifting nature of perception and reality. Léon Berger explores longing and disconnection through photography and collage, capturing emotional transitions. And last but not least: Margarita Hadjittofi creates an immersive experience that blurs reality and dreams, to explore memory and perception.
