American Moments

What ís truly American? Is it what the Americans make of it, with their omnipresent flag, their national hymn that they listen to on all sorts of occasions with their hand on their hart, their love for symbols like Elvis Presley and Mickey Mouse and celebrations like Christmas and Halloween? Is it what the movies and television series have impregnated us whith, the Indians, the cowboys and the cops? Photographer Ellen Kok lived in the state of Colorado for half a year and found all those things. And a few American Moments all for herself.
