Reflections: Thomas Kvam & Frode Oldereid

In the miniseries Reflections, part of Digital Mirror, we ask artists about their work, story, and motivation. Thomas Kvam and Frode Oldereid are Norwegian artists who explore the relationship between technology, power and ideology through robotic installations. Kvam is a conceptual artist and author, while Oldereid is an artist and sound designer. After collaborating between 1994 and 2004, they reunited to create Requiem for an Exit, which received the Golden Nica in the New Animation Art category at Prix Ars Electronica 2025. Requiem for an Exit is on show during Thinking Hands.
