Family Workshop: Create Your Own Pocket Archive

Join us this summer holiday at Noorderlicht and create your own mini archive! As part of the art project What Knots Knot Knots, in which artists explore the (post-)colonial histories of the northern Netherlands, you'll work together with our Head of Education, Yvonne Blaauw, and artist Julia de Jong to create your own personal pocket archive.
But what is an archive, really? And who decides what belongs in one? Which images tell a story about your surroundings? Which places, memories or everyday moments are important to you and worth preserving?
Using photographs, archival images and collage materials, you'll cut, combine and arrange images into a personal pocket archive filled with small collages that tell your own story.
