Tina Barney

Tina Barney (1945) has been taking large-scale photographs of family and friends since 1975. Her meticulous tableaux describe the complexity of interpersonal relationships. These lavish color prints have been exhibited and collected by major institutions around the world. Barney received a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship in 1991, and the 2010 Lucie Award for achievement in portraiture. She lives in New York and Rhode Island.
