Sophie Gerrard (1978, GB) is a Scottish photographic artist whose work explores themes of land, ecology, and identity, often focusing on women’s relationships to rural landscapes and labor.

Her practice combines documentary clarity with emotional resonance, weaving together archival research, personal narrative, and environmental concern. A founding member of the collective Document Scotland, Gerrard has exhibited widely, including at The Photographers’ Gallery, the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, and Paris Photo. She teaches at Edinburgh Napier University and is represented by The Photographers’ Gallery, London.
