Heleen Haijtema

Working with both still and moving images, she creates poetic and often absurd compositions shaped by uncontrollable elements like wind and light. Her work explores themes of impermanence, embodiment, and domestic landscapes through a soft yet precise visual language. Haijtema has exhibited at institutions including Museum Hilversum, Kunsthal Gent, Fries Museum, and Fotomuseum Den Haag, and her work is part of public and private collections in the Netherlands.
