About Gjert Rognli

He draws from Sámi cosmology and queer experience to explore themes of nature, memory, and transformation. With a poetic and symbolic language, his art confronts environmental and cultural erasure while proposing new forms of presence. Rognli has exhibited at major venues including COP28, KODE, and Museu de Arte de São Paulo, and has received awards across fine art photography and experimental film.
