About Claudius Schulze

Claudius Schulze (1984) is an artist and researcher. He studied political sciences and Islam, obtained a Master’s degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, and is currently pursuing his PhD on big data and artistic research. His work has appeared in Der Spiegel, National Geographic Traveller and the Smithsonian Magazine. In 2012, Claudius Schulze was selected as one of Germany’s top thirty journalists under thirty. He travels through Europe on his self-built boat The Conquest of the Improbable, which also serves as a mobile studio. State of Nature came out in book form in 2017.
