Andriy Lomakin

Andriy Lomakin (1974, Pripyat, Ukraine) — Ukrainian photographer, based in Kyiv. Graduated from Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1999. In 2001 started collaborating with international and local news media as photojournalist and reportage photographer. Since 2014 dedicates himself to working on personal documentary and art projects focused on exploration and research of Ukraine’s social landscape, combining documentary shooting with archive studies. His works have been published in various international media, including The New Yorker, Spiegel, Re:public, Macleans, Wired, BiF, Quartz, Helsingin Sanomat.
