Future Botanica explores how nature and technology can evolve together, rather than oppose each other.
In the Netherlands, landscapes are shaped by farming, infrastructure, and economic systems — almost no nature is untouched. This interactive installation invites you to design your own future ecosystem using artificial intelligence (AI) and ecological knowledge. Extended Reality (XR) — a blend of virtual and real environments — allows you to plant your creation into real landscapes. It offers a playful and thoughtful way to imagine how future natures could look. By doing so, you can explore your hopes, fears, or ideas about the natural world to come. Future Botanica creates space for new connections between humans, machines, and the environment.
