Astrid Hermes (1969) is fascinated by the body and the language it speaks. The series Bodylanguage gives insight into the emotions of the body, by means of shape and change. The body communicates through emotions and can evoke associations with different states of mind, such as shame, fear or hate. The face as the main feature in the identity of the individual is of lesser importance and is therefore not shown. The absence of the model's heads accentuates their posture and thus the individual's eloquence.
