Globalisation is a wide-ranging topic that is hard to define. With photography, in just one image it is possible to make clear just what kind of influence globalisation has on people around the world. Noorderlicht reveals the consequences of globalisation and illuminates the topic from various angles. For ten editions the photo festival has coupled high quality photography with themes of social importance, and by doing so has drawn enthusiastic visitors.
