Again in 2003 dozens of museums, galleries and special exhibitions in the city and province will make their contribution to the festival.

Forty museums and galleries will be presenting a choice selection of northern, Dutch, and international photographers. A random list of a few of the more than 100 exhibitors: Carla van de Puttelaar, Korrie Besems, Raimond Wouda, Margi Geerlings, Thijs Wolzak, Andrea Stultiens, Morad Bouchakour.

The Natural History Museum in Groningen premieres the new project by the Swedish photographer Albin Biblom (maker of the widely praised Journals of Jacob Mandeville, the Noorderlicht photo commission for 2000), on the last performing bears in European fairs; exhibitions will be held in historic churches around Groningen, as was done two years ago; the Groningen Museum presents an undoubtedly crackling retrospective of Erwin Olaf.
